Our American culture gives us very little in the way of support in learning how to develop deep, sustainable friendships, which are the foundation of sustainable community. We will discuss the historical precedents of how we view relationships, how they are viewed in different societies and how we can use resources drawn from other cultures to enrich and deepen our own relationships.
