ConVocation 2017 - The Seeker of Wisdom Must Release the Illusion of Knowledge

Society has told us from birth what is expected of us. This includes what we should look like, how we should act, what as kids we should play with, what as adults we should do, and the list goes on. Ethics are a wonderful guide and we should have a solid foundation of them. When our personal feelings and preferences do not match societal standards even though we have a good set of ethics, confusion and frustration begins to take a toll on our mental and physical health and well-being. This class is going to try and dispel some of the myths of societal expectations and reveal truths so that we can find more confidence and love of self to go forth and be the strong person who is within. You will walk away with tools to gauge fact from fiction and will hopefully build a stronger self-image.
